“I’m Female to Male and have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and more recently with PTSD.
I began seeing the local mental health team when I was 13 after school picked up on my self-harm. Since then I’ve been in and out of the system and spent a night in a psych ward after a suicide attempt.
Every day is a struggle, with extreme mood swings, hallucinations, and dissociations.
I am about to start EMDR therapy and I am slowly seeing that things will get better. Currently, I’m taking Lamotrigine and Diazepam to help with stabilising my moods and anxiety, but I look forward to the day they’re not necessary.
I know recovery is possible, not just for me, but for everyone.
Keep strong, I believe in you all.”
