“I’ve had issues with anxiety and panic attacks in the past – from having an out-of-body experience whilst giving a presentation at Uni (not ideal) to staring at walls while I was transfixed with worry, to swerving every social event I was invited to because my social anxiety made it too hard to face.
I’ve had a lot of therapy over the last 8 years – I’ve changed my lifestyle around so that I don’t have to work so intensively, and I prioritise things like meditation to ensure my mental health is way better than it was before. I still experience a good amount of fear in my life – but I choose to see that as an invitation to walk towards something rather than run away like I used to.
My own experiences of anxiety led me to train as a hypnotherapist and coach and it’s a huge privilege to get to help others who are suffering as I did. I wrote my bestselling book ‘The Anxiety Solution‘ based on what I’ve learned about how to manage anxiety and my latest book ‘Brave New Girl‘ has just come out on the 2nd of May. And it’s all about ending people pleasing, learning the power of saying no and becoming your most confident self.
Remember that anxiety is a teacher – trying to help you to learn, heal, grow or change something. When we listen, we’ll find our own solution.

We are so excited for our new segment called Meet Mental Health Professionals. Every fourth Tuesday we will share a story from a Mental Health Professional, where you’ll hear about their journey and how they got to where they are now.
As well as this, we will have an Instagram Stories Takeover in the week of when their story goes up, with each professional where you will be able to ASK your mental health questions and get answers from professionals and generally, find out more about them, what they do and tips/advice they have for maintaining good mental health. Chloe will be doing an Instagram Story Takeover on the 23rd of May on our Instagram account.
We hope this will bring more education and awareness to mental health issues as well as professional help support.
We would love to hear your feedback about this segment so let us know in the comments and on our social media what you think.
